On Sunday March 21, 2021, the Hadassah-Israel festive spring event was held. The event, hosted by our member Dalia Asaraf included a rich and varied program.

The President of Hadassah-Israel, Ms. Michal Shmueli welcomed the spring with greetings and optimism, and wished us all a happy Passover!

Professor Nardi Caspi, chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Hadassah Medical Center, explained to us using a short video, additional benefits to purchasing the innovative CTCB device, which will help to improve precision in surgery (facial, jaw, skull injuries and lesions). This year Hadassah-Israel dedicates its main fundraising efforts to the purchase of the CTCB.

Next, we continued to the light, fun part of the evening with a cooking workshop by renowned chef Ron Yochananov, who taught us to make two delicious, fresh and kosher for Passover recipes - corn and cheese fritters, and a rolled cake stuffed with mascarpone cheese and strawberries. Yummy !!!

Finally, the artistic part of the celebration - the wonderful singer Orly Solomon. Solomon, born in Israel, took us on a fascinating and inspiring musical journey through the twists and turns of her life. Solomon spiced her adventurous story with musical gems - well-known French chansons by Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf, a song in Japanese, "The Lion King" in German, Cuban Salsa, and of course the return home to Israel. It was an energetic show full of joy and optimism encouraging female empowerment and dream fulfillment.

The evening ended on an uplifting note with a video of Hadassah Hospital midwives performing this year’s viral "Jerusalema" line dance.

It was an impressive and delightful event. All proceeds are donated to Hadassah-Israel's community projects, and especially toward the purchase of the important CTCB device for Hadassah Hospital. Our thanks to all who participated with special thanks to "big" donors:  Israel Electric Corporation, Tnuva, Penny Wenger, Israel Builders Association, E&M Computing, Margalit Raviv and the Rozens family who donated in memory of their late mother Leah Rozens who was an Hadassah-Israel member, Ivy Resnik, El-Ad Insurance Agency, Flora Pearl, Batsheva Deutsch, Dalia Asaraf, and Miriam Weinreb.
