HWZOA invited Hadassah-Israel members to the Joy of Judaism 25th Anniversary Celebration, Sunday, May 25th, 2025 at the Hadassah Neurim Youth Village just north of Netanya.

The weather was perfect for a day out, overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and central Israel. The day started with a reception with light refreshments in the garden.  

The students' choir sang for us and there were short speeches about the programs:  Joy of Judaism and a Mothers and Daughters trip to Poland. The girls are all presented with candlesticks and Shabbat candles and they enjoy using them. Three mother and daughter pairs described their meaningful trip. In addition to our remarkable Hadassah hospital these programs are definitely worthy of our support. There was a wonderful atmosphere of pride.

Lunch was prepared for us by the village chef and was very aesthetic and tasty. There was an optional tour of the village with the kids. At the end of the day every participant was presented with a botanical gift to take home. 

It was a most enjoyable and interesting day.
